Soto Ayam

Have you tried Soto before? This picture was taken while I was dining outside. Soto is one of my fave food in the malay cuisine. The soup is made of chicken broth with a distinct smell of few spices added together, like aniseeds, cummin seeds and coriander seeds. To enjoy a yummy~licious soto, we need to have a piping hot tasty soup, 'cili padi kicap' and lots of garnishing (ie; coriander leaves, peanuts, bean sprouts and shredded chicken). Oh my.. i am salivating now!! :)

Enjoy this Soto & Happy Friday! :)

They all are charmed with the blogs, where in the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut or that they propagate? Then let’s try to give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to 8 bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text.

Time For Some Chat Over Late Supper

Previously, due to my lappie problem and internet connection, i've missed out on three conversations from dNeero in a row. And here's my chance for some comeback. Coincidently, the first conversation is about losing your files which I've just experienced last two months ago.

Upside Down Pineapple Tart

Weekend Snapshot

Taa Daa!! Miss Y presents to you Marzie's most talk about "Upside Down Pineapple Tart". This is the tart that she has been talking about and been craving for. It does look yummy~licious, doesn't it? Hot piping tart fresh from the oven, topped with a scoop of smooth vanilla ice-cream...mmm.... heavenly! :)

Marzie!!! I've made this tart esspecially for you to cheer you up! Dont't be bother by the TC widget thingy, k! :) Much Love & Hugs!! :))

Ingredients:
50g butter (softened)
40g caster (superfine) sugar
1 egg
115g all-purpose flour
pinch of salt

For the pineapple layer
3 Tbsp butter, softened
35g brown sugar
1 can pineapple

To make the pastry, beat together the butter and sugar until pale & creamy. Beat in egg, then sift in the flour and salt to mix to a soft dough. Knead, wrap in cling film and chill for an hour.

Tips: No machine required for making the pastry. A medium size mixing bowl and a spatula is adequate.

For the pineapple layer, grease a 4in cake tin. Melt butter in a pan and add 2 Tbsp into the cake tin. Sprinkle with 25g brown sugar. Arrange pineapple slices on top, sprinkle with the remaining brown sugar and butter.

Preheat oven to 230°C. Place the cake tin in the oven for about 5-10 mins, until a light golden caramel forms on the base.

Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface to around the same size as the tin. Lay it op top of the pineapples and tuck the edges down around the sides.

Bake for about 15-20 mins until the pastry is golden. Remove from the oven and leave to stand for 5 minutes.

Place an upturned plate on top of the tin and, holding the two together with a dish towel, turn the pineapple tart out on to the plate. Serve whote still warm with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream.

Tea Chats: This is easier to make than what i think and it's yummy~licious especially while it is still warm. You can use this recipe for making apple tart, just replace the pineapple with apples.

So, peeps, did you enjoy the tart? Hope you guys did!
Happy Monday & Happy WS! :)

Playing Games With Darling

Darling & I, we both love playing online games together. It can be anything from role playing game like Maple Story to card game like Blackjack in facebook. What I am gonna introduce to you guys today is one of our current addiction: Texas Hold'Em Poker. It is actually a game from facebook and it is superbly addictive.

I am sure all of us knows how to play poker right? But this is with a slight difference. Instead of getting 5 cards for each player, there will be only two private cards for each player. The first two players will have to place blind bets. Depending on the table you're in, the min bets is $25. After everyone gets their 2 private cards, they will have to place their bets. Then the dealer will deals 1st 3 community cards and place in the center of the table. Players will need to place their bets again. After that, the dealer will deal the 4th community card. Again, players will need to place their bets before the dealer deals the 5th community cards. You can make use any of these 5 cards to make the best hand. So, if you're confidence that you have the best hand, you can "Raise" the bets at this round, if not just "Call". After all bets have been called, all cards are shown and the computer will pick the winner.

During each placing of bets, you can "Call" to follow, "Check" to skip or "Fold" to stop playing that particular round. This game requires lots of guts and bluffing skill. Sometimes, we will "Raise" the bets or even "Show Hand" during the last round, even though' we have a lousy hand. Players will think that we might have the best hand since we look so confidence and they might "Fold". Great trick, right! ;)

Most of my friends are playing this game in facebook as well. So sometimes, we'll have the real Texas Hold'Em Poker on saturday nights. It was so much fun! :) If you want to play the real deal too but your friends are not around, you can try online casinos. It's pretty much the same! Have fun, k!:)

Fried Rice Miss Y Style

One evening, my darling wanted to eat fried rice. I thought I could make a Nasi Goreng Kampung for him but when i wanted to start cooking, i found out that we've ran out of groceries. There's no kangkung nor others main ingredients in the fridge. With a heart to cook a yummy~licious dinner for my darling, i came out with this recipe with the ingredients i could find in our pathetic fridge.

Ingredients:
2 servings white rice (cooked from 1 1/2cup rice grain)
2 eggs (lightly beaten)
1/2 onion (chopped)
5 chili padi (slit open in the middle and crushed with the face of knife)
1/2 small bowl M size dried anchovies
2 leaves lettuce (sliced)
1/2 carrot (sliced into thin strips)
4 crackers* (*optional)
1/2 tsp salt or to taste

In a wok, deed fried anchovies until brown or crispy. Scoop anchovies & leave aside until needed.

Leaving about 2-3 tablespoon of anchovies oil, saute onion & chili padi until fragrant. Throw in the carrot strips and rice. Mix well.

Make a well in the center of the rice. Add about 1/2 tbsp oil in the well and pour beaten eggs in it. Cover the eggs with rice. Leave it untouch for about 30seconds, then combine well. The rice should be all in yellow color. Add salt to taste.

Serve in a plate. Garnish with sliced lettuce and crispy fried anchovies on top and crackers at the side.

Tips: Anchovies mush be washed thoroughly then leave in colander to drain off excess water before deep frying.

Tea Chats: This is actually a very simple dish but as you can see, presentation makes a lot of different. That is how i lure my darling to eat my food. lol! :D

Pink Sisterhood

...October month to raise awareness on Breast Cancer...
I've just been tagged by Marzie to join her in the Pink Sisterhood. Even tho' there's a long list of tags awaiting me to complete, I'm gonna to do this one first, simply because I support Pink for October. Moreover this tag is to be done in October month to raise awareness on Breast Cancer. I am sure those whom I owed tags to wouldn't mind my decision, rite! :)

Understanding Breast Cancer:

The breast is a gland designed to make milk. The lobules in the breast make the milk, which then drains through the ducts to the nipple.

Like all parts of your body, the cells in your breasts usually grow and then rest in cycles. The periods of growth and rest in each cell are controlled by genes in the cell's nucleus. The nucleus is like the control room of each cell. When your genes are in good working order, they keep cell growth under control. But when your genes develop an abnormality, they sometimes lose their ability to control the cycle of cell growth and rest.
Breast cancer is an uncontrolled growth of breast cells.

Cancer has the potential to break through normal breast tissue barriers and spread to other parts of the body. While cancer is always caused by a genetic "abnormality" (a "mistake" in the genetic material), only 5–10% of cancers are inherited from your mother or father. Instead, 90% of breast cancers are due to genetic abnormalities that happen as a result of the aging process and life in general.

While there are things every woman can do to help her body stay as healthy as possible (such as eating a balanced diet, not smoking, minimizing stress, and exercising regularly), breast cancer is never anyone's fault. Feeling guilty, or telling yourself that breast cancer happened because of something you or anyone else did, is counterproductive.

The Top Three Girl Games Online

I've always been very much in love with paperdoll. It is better known as dress up game now where you can play online. You remember the last i played dress up game? I was so obsessed with it that i go on creating dollies for all my blogger friends. It was so obsessive but at the same time so much fun! There are so many dress up games available online now. It's hard to find one that is really good.

Today, I have a guest author, Lisa Park to talk to us about the top 3 dress up games online. I got to know her when she first commented in my Dress Up Game Post. We shared the same passion in dress up games and became friend. Unlike me, her passion has driven her to move forward and a step ahead by creating a website entirely dedicated to dress up games. Let's not waste anymore time, and welcome her to AGP, shall we! :) *applause*

When you head online to play a few rounds of dress up games, you have your choice of many different kinds of activities, but by far the favorites seem to be the characters we are most familiar with. In the case of fashion doll games, the most popular characters to dress up appear in Sue games, Bratz games and Barbie games.

Sue Games
In Avatar Star Sue games, or usually just Sue Games, the cute anime style character Se appears for both dress up and other styles of fashion games. You can give Sue an entirely new look including her clothing and make-up or just choose a new hairstyle that suits your current mood and what you think Sue might enjoy that day.

In many cases, when you have completed a new Sue game, you have the option of saving your completed creation as a avatar or image on your computer. You can use the pink little princess for any of your own purposes including your profiles on forums or other social networking websites. Even if you never save or print a doll you created during Sue games, you'll likely become addicted to the pint-sized online phenomenon.

Bratz Games
Bratz are easily one of the most popular fashion dolls both onscreen and off. Online, the Bratz dolls are easier to accessorize than ever before and girls are turning out in droves to enjoy their favorite characters on the internet with vast quantities of wardrobe choices and hairstyles available.

As with any doll, when you finish Bratz games, you have the option of using your creation for another purpose, but playing with dolls is so addicting that it's just as likely that you'll simply start a new round rather than treasuring a single fabulous outfit forever. The Bratz are known for their urban style and funky looks. Practicing putting these styles in Bratz games might even help you become a better dresser yourself.

Barbie Games
Before there were Sue games and Bratz games, there were Barbie games. Barbie is almost five decades old, but she's still going strong. Barbies still sell well in toy stores and you can find Barbie just as easily on many pages of the internet. Barbie games are among the most popular dress up games for younger girls, and it's easy to see why.

There are multitudes of fashion choices, many more than you'd ever be able to handle in your toy box. Dressing Barbie in the latest fashions is simple online and when you find an outfit you like, you always have the option to print our your online Barbie doll and use her as a paper doll during times you're offline. The more Barbie games you play online, the greater your fashion skills will grow and the more Barbie paper dolls you'll accumulate to go alongside your collection of true Barbie dolls.
