Trick & Treat

Hello peoples!

It's Halloween today and i thought what a great way to celebrate this day with a Trick & Treat post. I will tag these below wonderful peoples to both Trick & Treat.

Marzie, Janice, Emila, Bobby, Nick, Adrian, Sam, NAFA, Jamilla, Karen, Trinity, Barrett, Winston, Jerry, Bobo, Sandman, Joezul, Jo.

Have fun, guys! :)

The Trick

Adrian, the Genie King threw a tricky question to me some times back. Before that, let's go through the instruction first.

INSTRUCTION: I will tag you a Question and you Post your answer on your blog. After that you make another question and tag other bloggers. Easy Mah? Let’s get it on!

His Question is: On a dark stormy night you're driving alone on a narrow back road. You actually took a wrong turn and don't really know where you are and there are no familiar landmarks and neither are there any buildings. Suddenly you have a flat tyre....what would you do?
1) Stay in the car until daybreak
2) Get out in the rain and try to change the tyre
3) Walk to the nearest place to ask for help
4) Call someone to give you a hand (remember you don't know where you are)
5) Drive on with the flat tyre until you reach civilization

Well, let's see...

- Answer no.1 would be too dangerous for a girl. What if some lunatic guy came out of nowhere and started banging my windows with a spanner. Nonono!
- Answer no.2 would be too crazy for me. What if some wild animals appeared from nowhere and started chasing me into the forest. Nonono!
- Answer no.3 would be out of sense to me. I am just too lazy to walk. So, Nonono!
- Answer no.4 would be the first thing i wanted to do. But since i do not know where I am, so i can't do that yet.
- Answer no.5 would be the best for me.

So, yeah, My answer would be no.5. I would continue to drive with the flat tyre until i see some landmarks or signboards. Then I would call for help because then i could tell them where I am.
So, how do i score, GK? Did i do this well? This is the most sensible answer i could think of that i would actually react in that situation.

Okay, now here's my question:
It's Halloween night, and you are partying at your friend's campus which is just few blocks away from yours. Suddenly you felt a tornado starting up in your stomach and you need to use the bathroom urgently. You went to the bathroom inside his room but it's occupied. You tried the bathroom down the hallway, it's all occupied too.

At this moment, you are really pissed, "What the h*ll are these peoples doing in the bathrooms?" You thought you wanted wait, but the tornado is starting to turn to F5. So, hurriedly, you burst through empty hallway, to the front door and to the street, heading back to your campus. You are running as fast as you could and you thought you might have won the 100m in 8 seconds with this speed.

Then you noticed something that looks like a white cloth floating on the air beneath the huge tree at the roadside. No, wait, it's not just a white cloth. It's Casper's brother, Fasper, the ferocious ghost! You stopped running. You felt a gush of wind brushed through your wet hair. Your heart beats like crazy. And the tornado started to do its damages so bad inside your stomach that you think you couldn't hold it any longer. Fasper is still hunting beneath the tree, and have not noticed your presence yet. All the other buildings were close for the night and you are only one block away from your home. What are you gonna do?

1) Down of your knee and start praying, hoping that Fasper will go away.
2) Take care of the tornado by the bushes first, risking your dignity that you might be seen by others.
3) Run ahead as fast as you can, hoping that Fasper would not chase you.

Your answer could be none of the above. You can think up of your own answer. Please amuse me! :)

The Treat

(originated from Anni of Hootin’ Anni)

I was given this yummy treat award because Trinity thought I am sweet as a candied apple. Thanks, Trin! :)

And now, i am giving you this yummy treat because i think you are sweet too! Love ya'all! :)

Cameron Highlands For 3D2N

It's been quite a while since our last trip together. We had planned this trip a month ago and it was great to see everybody commited to this vacation by taking a day off from their work.

We went to Cameron Highlands, PAHANG, on Saturday (20/Oct) and came back on Monday (22/Oct). It was a relaxing vacation as most of the time, we stayed in our cozy little apartment playing mahjong and blackjack. Haha! Yeah, with my this bunch of guy friends, blackjack is inevitable in ALL our trips.

I was expecting freezing cold weather at night (as what i've experienced when i was there last 6-7 years ago) but it turn out to be just the same as in my air-conditioned room. However, if you are outside, the weather could be cooling and a little chilly at night.

Pink Penguin: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I’ve been tagged by Marzie on her post, Pass the Pink Penguin in conjunction with the ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ month of October. According to Marzie, below are several tips on how women can avoid breast cancer and remain healthy.

• Maintain a positive mental attitude
• Do aerobic exercise 3-4 times a week
• Practice breathwork and deepening body-awareness such as yoga
• Express your feelings to keep your energy flowing
• Ensure healthy eating habits and complement your food intake with the right supplements
• Avoid toxicity

How you can help raise awareness on breast cancer:-

1. Spread the word. Announce the event on your blog. You could write a blog post (like this), or a little note about it. Whatever you choose to do, just go ahead and tell your readers about it.

2. Go pink. Modify your theme if you know how to, or get yourself a pretty pink theme. If you run a website, turn your website pink. But if you don’t like pink, you could still participate by putting up a badge on your sidebar.

3. Design badges and banners. Design a couple of “Pink for October” badges or banners for other participants to use (for free) and to publicize the event. Some of the existing badges and banners can be downloaded from the Official Pink for October Site.

4. Design blog themes. There are a lot of bloggers who can’t even do simple designing, so if you are good at it, perhaps you could design and release a few pink themes? So, I am hoping that whoever happens to read my post, please do something to spread the awareness. It only takes a moment of our time.

In doing my part, here's a post i've written on National Breast Cancer Awareness Month - October! I would like to encourage all my readers to click on this site daily to help fund free mammograms and post a similar post like this to help raise awareness.

Thank you! :)

Additional Note - added on 24/Oct 2007: Emila has created this cute penguin in conjuntion with Breast Cancer Awareness month!

Crushed oreo biscuits sandwiched between vanila ice-cream topped with peanuts and choco-licious sauce and based with crushed crackers.

This is my creation. It's called "Smooch-Me Bar Ice Cream" because it's simple irresistible!

Ingredients:
Base
200g Crackers (crushed)
100g margarine

Sauce
50g margarine
85g semi sweet chocolate
1/2 can evaporated milk
105g icing/ confectioners' sugar

100g Oreo biscuits (crushed)
2 litres Vanilla ice cream
100g unsalted peanuts (crushed)

1. Mixed well crushed crackers and melted margarine. Press into a 10x10 inch tray and chill for 1 hour.

2. In a saucepan, put in the ingredients one by one according to the sequence above. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Let it boil for 5 minutes or until the sauce is smooth. Leave it aside to cool.

3. Slice vanilla ice cream into (approx) 2.5 x 8.5 cm and place them neatly on top of the chilled base. Using a spatula, smooth the seams and freeze for 15mins.

4. Cover first layer with crushed oreo biscuits. Repeat step 3 for the 2nd layer. freeze for 30mins.

5. Evenly sprinkle crushed peanuts on top. Pour the choco sauce over the ice-cream. Put in freezer for 10 hours before serving. It's best to leave it overnight in freezer.

So, tell me now, Are you able to resist this devilish temptation? ;)

A Tribute To The Late Nurin Jazlin

I am sure many of you have heard of Nurin Jazlin. What have happened to her was unexpected and was of inhuman act. I was terribly disturbed by this tragedy and I hope that the person who's responsible for this will be brought forward and may justice prevailed.

The following was extracted from NAFA in supporting of "Fight Against Child Abuse".

-----start copy post-----

In our times of darkness, children are the ones who will brighten us up. No matter what ordeals we have to endure in our daily lives, we know that we can overcome them the moment we set eyes on children. Their innocence and purity in them will always give us a sense of peacefulness and calm that is beyond words. And it goes without saying that life would be meaningless without seeing them smile, hearing them laugh and cry, and feeling their small and flawlessly gentle hands that want to reach out to us.

Yet, there are some who show no empathy and sensitivity towards these beautiful souls. Worse still, they would dunk themselves into physical violence and cruelty towards the children without even thinking twice. Such acts can deem someone to be worse than an animal, because even an animal has compassion and love for its young.

What is going on with this world? Why must such horrid acts be carried out? Why do these people ever exist in this world?

Please take this time to read this special message from us, and show your utmost support and sympathy towards the family of the late Nurin Jazlin, who passed away tragically and brutally at the age of only eight. Little Nurin Jazlin’s body was discovered in a gym bag on 17th September, one month after she was abducted.

Upon the discovery, she was seen to be in the most horrifying state ever. Her hair was short and curled up, when it was originally straight and long. Her body was pale and badly bruised from head to toe, and there were traces of foreign objects like brinjal and cucumber found in the virginal area of her body

Parents of the deceased took a long time to acknowledge her death, but eventually did after all the thorough DNA tests had been carried out by the forensics department. Her body was finally buried on 21st September. Her father, Jazimin Abdul Jalil, had expressed his sorrow towards this tragedy, stating that whoever who caused her death was not a human being, but rather, an animal

This was the result of an outrage of modesty (See Picture Above) caused by a man of age between 35 and 40, who was thought to be someone who enjoyed torturing people, particularly children. Along with him was a 23-year-old lady, who was apparently his partner in crime. The lady had been found and called for questioning by the Malaysian authorities, whereas the man has yet to be found. Hence, we are urging all of you here to play your part in finding this serial killer cum sexual offender and ensuring that justice is served to the deceased and her family.

If you know of the culprits’ whereabouts, keep us informed immediately, or directly inform her uncle, Jasni Abdul Jalil, via his blog, which he had specially created as a form of dedication to her.

Over the years, we have heard of children’s lives being taken away due to the evil doings of heartless adults. A Visit To The Chinese Physician

Chinese Herbs & Prescription Note

I consulted a chinese physician/ doctor yesterday at Huah Shan Herbs Store, USJ Taipan, was recommended by my friend. I was being skeptical because it's hard to believe that one can tell what's wrong with the other person by just taking the pulse. Even tho' this method was proven its accuracy but i am still on the fence.

Without saying a word, i gave him my left hand. He put his fingers on my wrist and take my pulse. He said, "You're lack of blood, lack of air/oxygen." My thoughts : Well, ok. That explained my palpitation.

And then he took the pulse on my right hand, "You've consumed too much of cold beverages, too much time in front of the monitor that it has strained your brain's energy." My thoughts: Well, ok. True as well. But maybe that's because he understood the behaviour of nowadays peoples.

And he took my left hand again and said, "You're having too much stress/ tension." He also said that my liver & kidney are not co-operating well that causes my stomach not able to absorb the nutrient from the food i eat. My thoughts: Well, ok. He's right. How does he knows i am under tremendous stress?

He gave me a prescription for chinese herbs. I need to take these herbs 8 times and according to the doctor, I should be feeling better and I will be able to absorb nutrient, hence gaining weight at the end of this 8th intake. The consultation and 1 packet of chinese herbs costs RM32. After taking this 1st packet, i still need to buy 7 more packets from the herbs store @ RM26/packet. That's mean, the total billing for this 'treatment' is RM214.

Because of what he said (all right about me), I am going to start taking these chinese herbs until the 8th intake. Anyway, it's only herbs and herbs are meant for restoring and bringing goodness to your health. No harm done to my body!

So, how about you? Have you been to chinese physician? How much do you believe in chinese physicians and medication?
