New Year's Resolutions - 2008!

By reading the title, you guys must be thinking "Wow, How outdated Jean is?"
Yes, I am way behind time. I've so much to catch up and am speeding off with the help of our Genie King & Genie Princess on their magical carpet.

So, let me start with this meme from Marzie. (Marzie, i finally did this! yay!!) & since most of my friends has been tagged, i'll omit the tagging part & go straight to my resolution. :)

Jean - A Great Pleasure - My 2008 resolution is to maintain a positive attitudes even though storms comes my way and keep everyones around me happy.

When it comes to New Year’s Resolutions we seem to fall into four categories: 1) quite serious about them, 2) be flippant about them, 3) do it because we feel pressured to, or 4) do not do them. So, the purpose of this little game is to let us know which category you are in. Copy from “*Start Copy Here*” through “*End Copy Here*” and post it. Before "*End Copy Here*" tell us who you are, your site(s) (with link) and your New Year’s Resolution, or not.

Then tag as many others as you like, from one to your entire blogroll, your choice.

If you like, create an intro paragraph to your post that also acknowledges who tagged you.

NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS:

Juliana – Juliana's Site - My New Year's resolutions are looking for a part time job, keep blogging, and learn to cook and bake.

Michelle - Rusin Roundup - 1. Learn to be happier and accept myself for who I am, 2. Is to lose about 25 lbs., and 3. Is to stop smoking.

Karen - Grow Rich Along With Me - My resolution for next year is to achieve $3K per month passive income by the end of 2008.

Mel - Attitude, the Ultimate Power & Complain Complain Complain - “I don’t need no stinking resolutions.” I never hold to them anyway so why frustrate myself by starting them now.

Sandee - Comedy Plus - I don't need no stinking resolutions either. Years and years ago I did them because everyone else did, but not once did I follow through. Why set yourself up for failure?

Lynda - lynda's loft - My resolution is to see resolve to that which needs resolution. Like Mel and Sandee, I feel that resolutions give us more stress, however, being a person who sets goals each year, isn't that the same thing as a resolution??? Goals vs. resolutions? Goals are more general and allow for more time to complete them, a resolution requires a mind-set and immediate action, which is not always feasible... Well, that's my story and I'm stickin' to it...

Amelia - Amel's Realm - This is a list of my New Year's Resolution:
1. Health: Continue exercising twice a week, eat enough veggies and fruit, have enough rest, take vitamin C regularly and women's multivitamin during my period.
2. Spiritual: Improve my Daily Bread reading routine and my prayer life and learn more from God's Word.
3. Financial: Continue to make money online (my goal is getting €100 per month at least), be more creative in writing posts, and save most of the money.
4. General Life: Continue to learn Finnish AND practice it as best and often as I can, try out more baking and cooking recipes, continue to maintain and share positive thoughts, continue to learn to control my thoughts, continue to learn to catch myself before I start complaining and count my blessings instead, continue to stop and cherish all the little moments in life that oftentimes go unnoticed, and continue to feed my inner child and last but not least, continue to ENJOY my life thoroughly.

Max - MAX - My New Year's resolutions are to dedicate more time to my friends; to finally be able to read "Der Spiegel" in German; to be calm when organizing my marriage; to go one last time to my favourite club and dance the night away; and continue to be happy!

Eric - Speedcat Hollydale - I love chicken. Problem is that I really never get to have enough chicken! My New Year's resolution is to enact "Chicken Tuesday". On this day I will eat only chicken, blog about chicken, and promote chickens all over the world. (hormone free) Join me, won't you?

Marzie - Mariuca & Mariuca's Perfume Gallery - My resolution for 2008 is to enjoy a healthier lifestyle and to expand my Perfume Collection.

Sindi- Life Is A Roller Coaster - My resolution is to complain less, pray more and be a little more thankful for what I have.
Judy - Sugar Queen's Dream
- My New Year's resolution is:
To take better care of my health.
To eat better, well at least 3 meals a day, I'm lucky these days if I stop for one meal a day....
To help make the world a better place to live, I love the human race, but think there’s always room for change.
To be generous until it hurts.
To live each day as if it's my last.
To make a book of our personal family recipes and traditions for each of my 3 my children, so that the traditions and family cooking can be passed on in my family line long after I'm gone and finally.......
To help more with the local Human society, Animals like little kids can not fend for themselves so it's up to each of us to take care of our pets and to step in and care for all animals.....
I hope that through me I can encourage my Children to be better adults and in turn to raise the Children they have or will have, to be good people with good, sound & solid values.... Peace!

Adrian - First Time Dad - My New Year’s Resolution for 2008 is to be a better father…now I don’t usually make New Year's resolutions because I never keep them but this one I better keep! Happy New Year to one and all!

Colin - Life - New Years Resolution? No way...Better to achieve more throughout the year rather than pander to the whims of a one day 'wishful thought'

Mauro - 1 Million Love Messages - My resolution for next year are: 1. Change my job (maybe work online). I'm really unhappy in the actual one. 2. Dedicate more time to my family and girlfriend... maybe start to get ready for our wedding :-) 3. Work hard in 1 Million Love Messages and reach 2500 Love messages (or more) in the end of 2008.

MidgetManOfSteel - Mental Poo - To get out of dealing with people who I have no desire in helping at the job I’m doing…catch the eye of someone who can see that I can write and be funny…and get my own ticket to happiness from my humor….and a Ferrari. While I’m doing this, I resolve to get a Ferrari.

Stacy - My Thoughts - My New Year’s Resolution for 2008 - Is to be more understanding to my children and to other people, Not to curse at others while I am driving, try to eat right and exercise, try to volunteer in my community, and to believe more in my spiritual side.

Jason - DatCurious.com & DatMoney.com - Although, I normally don't do New Year's Resolutions (because I find it as an excuse to actually do something I should've already been doing), this year I will plan on giving back to the blogging community, especially my audience. I'm not sure how I will do it yet, but I definitely will.

Kesa - Little Aussie Cynic - My New Years Resolution is the standard..... to finally get off the smokes and to loose 8kg.... both which are possible just difficult.....Happy New Year to you and yours….Aussie

Ann - A Nice Place in the Sun - "To let the rest of my life begin as soon as possible."

Trinity - Rooms of My Heart: My New Year's resolutions in simple and fast way will be blog less and spend more time with my children and read more good books. I want to start studying about global warming and blog it.

Zubli Zainordin – A Total Blog - I do not have any new year resolution, since many years ago. Totally awesome still my total life is, as I experience real magic and enjoy mini miracles, while journeying in cycles, synchronicity, and flow. I praise The Lord.

Melody - Unchained Melody- My New Year resolution is , not to spend money more than we earn(well, i hope so lolz) and to appreciate things in life more:-)

Ev Nucci - My Life is Murphy's Law: My resolutions are simple; they are to make a plan to achieve measurable goals this year and to identify an accountability partner (want to guess who that may be?) by January 30, 2008. I achieve that, then, I have achieved everything I need to achieve. For it is in your plan that you achieve your goals.

Bokjae - Listening, Learning, Living - To live the contemplative life this Year! For more details of what we meant by this please read the first post this year on our blog!

Spiff - Spiff, The Spaceman - Urmmm, I don't have any cos I never keep them. But if I did have any, it would be to be more tolerant with inconsiderate doofusses out there!

Maketraffic - Project Heavy Traffic: My 2008 resolution is to step out of my comfort zone, stretch and reach out. Because No one can predict to what heights you can soar. Even you will not know until you spread your wings.

Shinade(Jackie) - The Painted Veil - I truly don't make resolutions anymore. I never ever kept any in my life that I did make except for one. I did get that divorce that year.

NAFA - NAFASG©™ - As mentioned, we want to improve our goal setting skills for this year, and as a team, we would like to simply carry on pursuing our motive of blogging – blogging for the community, by providing more life tips, reviews and even lending a helping hand to any of our friends in the blogosphere who are in need of help. Individually, we just want to be better people in terms of personality and maturity in thinking and problem solving. The arrival of the year 2008 means that we are all growing a year older, so we had better grow together with our ages as well!

Crystal – CHOC MINT GIRL – I don't usually share my resolutions with other people, but some of the things that I am going to resolve and "quite serious about them" (category no. 1) are to balance out between spiritual and social life, to exercise regularly and stay healthy, to eliminate procrastination in my routine, to achieve a set target on paid postings and extend my blog, and the list goes on...

Emila - Emila’s Illustrated Blog - I am so afraid to make new resolution as I hardly realised previous resolutions but am making it anyway!! I want to be a better wife, mother, sister, daughter, niece and granddaughter!

LadyJava - LadyJava's Lounge - I used to have resolutions when I was a young girl but I found that as the year closed, most of the resolutions get brought forward to the new one. So I've decided, no more new year resolutions! I'll just take things as they come and strive to be the best I can and do lots of things without putting a deadline to it. Enough deadlines already for me career wise, no point pressuring my personal life.

Jean - A Great Pleasure - My 2008 resolution is to maintain a positive attitudes even though storms comes my way and keep everyone around me happy.

Yay! It's Our 7th Anniversary!

I am so excited! Today is our 7th anniversary. How fast time flies! I still remembered our 6th anniversary at TGIF. It was a great dinner. For this year, we are still deciding where to dine at. We wanted to go to Eden Restaurant but our appetite is also craving for japanese food. "Western? Jap? Western?" We are so torn in between and can't decide what to eat. *sigh* I think we'll see how it goes later. Maybe our appetite will direct us to somewhere definite later.

Talking about our 7th anniversary, i can't believe it's been that long my partner & I are together. My partner is a great guy. He's not really the romantic kind of person but I love him just the way he is. We've watched each others grow from teenagers to young adults. It's an awesome experience!

Once my cousin asked me,"How do you two stay so lovey dovey all the time?" She said we are like new couple, crazily in love with each others. I was, of course, over the clouds nine to hear that. It's not an everyday compliment, you know! :) I guessed the key to our relationship is humor. If there's no laughter in ones relationship, sooner or later they will get bored.

But of course, the most important is that we constantly show how much we care & appreciate each others. For instance, my partner & I always say ,"I love you" before we hug each others to sleep.

Beside that, saying sorry & forgiving is part of a relationship. My partner & I are two different peoples. We have our own opinions. Most of the time, especially in designing, our opinions clashes. And we always ended up arguing. But once the word "Sorry" came out from either our lips, we'll made up. In my personal opinion, no relationships can go through a lifetime together without arguing. (pls correct me if i am wrong)

I am so blessed to have found my partner and thankful that he's part of my life. It's one of the best gift from God! :)

I Am A Hufflepuff

I've received an invitation from Hogwarts through Trinity to sort out the hat. Let's see which group I belong to!

Which Hogwarts house will you be sorted into?

*** start copy paste this invitation***

I know what you're all thinking, "Not -another- sorting quiz!", but before you get bored and leave, let me say a few things about it. This is not the ordinary sorting quiz that you're used to. Unlike all those other quizzes infesting the Internet, this quiz actually sorts you for who you are as a person, not because your favorite animal is a lion.

I made this quiz as a reaction to all the bad sorting quizzes. The problem with most of the existing quizzes, is that the questions rarely have anything to do with which house you would actually be sorted into. Your favorite color doesn't effect which house you belong to. Not every Gryffindor likes defense against the dark arts, not every Slytherin likes potions. Just look at Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Each is in Gryffindor, but each has a completely different disposition. Harry's father was often a bully and a thief, yet he was still in Gryffindor.

This quiz will actually ask you psychological questions with a variety of answers that can't easily be determined as to which house they fit into. This was meant to be more like what the Sorting Hat does. Just remember though that you must answer these questions truthfully in order to get an accurate answer.

Also these questions are written to take place in our world, not the world of Harry Potter. I didn't give a Harry Potter theme to the quiz because the answers are more accurate this way. As Muggles, we don't have any idea what it's like to be faced with a troll or a bogart and we've never played quiddich. Our answers may be skewed as to how our favorite characters would act instead of ourselves. However, we all know what it's like to live in the Muggle world because we do it every day. Please take the test and copy paste this *master list* after you are sorted and don't forget to tag your friends! Let's see which tower has the most members!

Gryffindor: Karen Adrian Eric Speedcat Bok Jae LadyJava Gage's World Giddy Tigers

Slytherin: Janice Genie Princess

Ravenclaw: Mr. Fong Jojo kasper794 Dawn Wen Ratu Syura Tyna Dora, Sting Jansey

Hufflepuff: Trinity Amel Jo-N Anggie Everyday Healy SueSue Emila Vickylow Shemah Stacey BOBO Jam

Greetings from Bangkok

Sawasdee ka,

How is everyone? Yeah, I am now in Bangkok. Was here for business on the 4th March and am going back to Malaysia this friday. I hope everyone are doing fantastic, or at the least are doing good.

In these few months of busyness, I realized that I've neglected my friends in blogosphere and weekend snapshots. I am so sorry, guys! I really missed you guys but time does not permit me to reply to all my comments nor visit you guys. Moreover, there's still no internet connection at my new home, making it harder for me go online. >< Sorry, guys!

If you've noticed, I've been using facebook alot lately (since I came to BKK). There were about 400 requests on my facebook and now 300 left only. I am trying to clear all because once I am back home, I won't be able to go online as often. So, you guys will be receiving alot more requests from me. Be prepared, ya! ;)

When I was here for the first time, I didn't have time to buy stuffs for myself. It was all for friends & families. So being the second time here was more of myself. I've bought two bags, a GUESS wallet, a SALVATORE FERRAGAMO perfume and I got a "cross" tattooed at the back of my shoulder. It is a fruitful trip, and i hope my work will go smoothly tomorrow, then it'll be a successful trip! :)

I'll upload all the photos on facebook. Help yourselves, ya! *muaks* *muaks* :)
